Context changes what an assistant can do.

An answer can be useful once. Context can make the next conversation useful too: your preferences, the project you are working on, what has changed since last time. The things you should not have to explain from the beginning.

We want that continuity to help people think, decide and act. Its value should be felt in what someone can do, including after they put the device down.

Useful context should not cost you control.

Personal intelligence should let you understand what it remembers, correct it when your life changes and remove what no longer belongs there. Remembering more is only useful if the person can still set the boundaries.

Our ambition is to bring more capability to personal devices and keep more context close to its owner. Cloud services can remain useful, with a clear purpose and a clear distinction from the personal intelligence itself.

TAU starts with memory. The direction goes further.

TAU is the first product built from this vision: a personal AI with a local core and persistent memory on iPhone. It gives the work a practical starting point.

Our longer-term direction is richer personal context, more capable local models, and tools used with the person's explicit intent. We want useful continuity across more of someone's digital life, with meaningful control over the context that makes it personal.

That is an ambition, not a promised roadmap. Separate TAU model research explores efficiency, memory and adaptation alongside the app.
